The fact of the matter is, there's still problems that Microsoft has to fix, and it's best to stay on 10 for the time being. Now, just because you don't notice any difference, doesn't mean there isn't. If someone wants to stick with 7, that's their choice, I'm not telling everyone to run 7.
Windows 7 is still viable in that it's a lower demand on the CPU. Security in this day and age is nothing but peace of mind, nobody is truly safe as long as they're connected to the net. Typically how financial information is stolen is because of data leaks from a service, not because someone was running a discontinued OS. If someone really wanted your data and had the skill and means to get it, they're going to get right through it one way or another. Even if you disable all of the features that Microsoft allows you to disable, use a VPN and anti-virus, and take other pre-cautions, it really doesn't make anything secure.
